What differentiates Meltwater from other similar products?
Best Social listening tool I have come across. Helps a lot for managing online reputation management and checking the brand recall on different social media handles and PR activities.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Competitor analysis using meltwater and build digital strategy around it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Costly Product. Customer support can be made better.

What differentiates Meltwater from other similar products?
It provides a wide range of different metrics and also offers quite a lot of dashboards to visualize all the data.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Its very easy to use. Very easy to set up and you can start getting data in a couple of minutes. All the queries are the common ones so you dont need to learn any kind of special characters or words to start taking advantage of the platform. It also covers the media reporting so you can have a very reasonable picture of your brand’s reputation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It has a lot to improve when it comes to the sentiment. It is not able to understand natural language so it won’t give an accurate view of the sentiment. It doesn’t understand complex feelings such as irony.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is more useful for brands than for topics or conversations. Very useful for comparing brands and create benchmarks

What differentiates Meltwater from other similar products?
It is the clear market leader in this space and as a result, the interface, capabilities, and responsiveness are outstanding. The platform is pricey and everything "fun" seems to be an add-on, but the end result is comprehensive media monitoring, effective outreach, and highly customizable audience segmentation. Plus, the user interface beats all the other products and that is worth it.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I appreciate the user interface the most, and the relative intuitiveness of the platform. A close second is how responsive the Meltwater team is when I submit a reporter update.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some features I would think would be easy to implement are not, and updates to products that work perfectly well and serve their purpose are pursued. If it isn't broken, don't fix it...but if something needs improvement, focus on that, instead.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do your due diligence and dig into every detail with the sales team. If you become a client, pursue every training opportunity so you understand how to use the numerous tools within the platform. There is a lot Meltwater can do, but only if you as the user know how to manage the software. And never hesitate to contact the client support team!
