Its strong security, enterprise-grade administration, real-time co-authoring in Office apps, and extensive integration with third-party applications make it especially well-suited for organizations of all sizes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Microsoft Teams is its all-in-one collaboration experience. It combines chat, video meetings, file sharing, and integration with Microsoft 365 apps in a single platform, making it easy to communicate and work together without switching between multiple tools.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Microsoft Teams can feel slow and resource-intensive, especially during meetings or when multiple features are in use. Its interface can be overwhelming, making it difficult to find chats, files, and settings quickly. Notifications and conversation organization can also become cluttered, causing important messages to be missed.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take time to learn the key features and customize your notification settings to reduce distractions. Use channels and folders consistently to keep conversations and files organized. If you already use Microsoft 365, Teams offers the most value through its seamless integration with other Microsoft apps.

Ease of use and file collaboration features make it easy to sync with Sharepoint and other Microsoft applications

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ability to send a Sharepoint link and have it saved in the shared files for ease of access between chats and to be able to use the search bar to find files within Sharepoint

What do you dislike most about this product?

Search functionality - hard to find older messages or specific conversations especially when trying to enter in multiple words brings up every message that has ever mentioned that word

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Would recommend if you already use the existing Microsoft 365 suite since the added benefits are unlocked if you can integrate it across other applications and unlock file sharing abilities

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Microsoft Teams integrates with our other softwares (Outlook, ServiceNow, Sharepoint, Copilot) better than Slack. I much prefer using Teams, as the data is integrated.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that my calendar is synced between Outlook and Teams. It makes for a more integrated work day.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I wish the Teams vs. Chats were more integrated. I use chats 99% of the time. For the Teams (groups) in the product, I frequently miss communications because they live elsewhere .

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Don't straddle the line by using 2 or more instant messaging apps. Get your department to fully adopt Teams as the messaging app. You won't regret it!
