What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

In addition, we looked into Azure DevOps Service, and the main distinction between Jira Software and Azure DevOps Service is that Jira is much simpler to use, but Azure DevOps requires a lot more study to change Azure boards or move things around. Jira makes it incredibly easy to make changes; you don't always need to hit Save and Close.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Our engineering department, which consists of software engineers, Dev Ops, IT, and DBAs, uses Jira Software primarily. Our primary software tool for the Agile software development process is Jira Software. It is used to track projects from the time an idea is written until it is put in production.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For those without technical knowledge, creating bespoke reports could be challenging.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Jira is a fantastic tool for keeping track of the entire chronology of your project. The Big Picture feature is fantastic for getting a rapid overview of everything that is currently being worked on, what has been finished, and what is upcoming. Another excellent ability is the ability to divide your organization into various backlogs.

Jira Software unlocks the power of agile by giving your team the tools to easily create & estimate stories, build a sprint backlog, identify team commitments & velocity, visualize team activity, and report on your team's progress. It can be used for difference roles - manager and User. Very helpful and backbone of companies adopting to Agile practices
