What differentiates Rippling from other similar products?

Most platforms treat IT and device management as an afterthought to HR, whereas Rippling connects both on a single underlying system. When I joined the engineering team, my system configuration, GitHub repositories, AWS permissions, and Slack channels were provisioned automatically along with my payroll setup. Other tools commonly require the stitching of a separate HRIS and an external MDM solution, whereas with this platform, identity access, hardware security and employee data are managed in one place.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Automated application provisioning and centralized Single Sign-On (SSO) save countless hours for administrators and reduce the complexity of the user experience. Instead of waiting for the IT department to open a support ticket and provision new access, developers just need to approve a request by role and get their access synced immediately. On the consumer side, it takes little more than a click to download a tax summary or request PTO because everything is intuitive and easy to navigate.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The background device management agent on macOS sporadically enforces security updates or restarts in the middle of deep coding sessions when the admin policies do not provide sufficiently flexible grace periods. Some of the deeper submenu settings (e.g., finding particular historical reimbursement logs) are several clicks away until one gets used to the sidebar structure.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take some time to configure role-access groups for different departments (backend, QA, product) before launching the service. The ROI is highest when combining the IT Cloud and Device Management modules with the basic HR system, not only using it as an electronic payroll tool.

What makes Rippling different is that it combines employee management, payroll, onboarding and IT tasks in one place. This can save time and reduce the effort of managing different tools separately.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that employee information and different work related tasks are available in one platform. Automation also helps reduce repetitive work and makes regular processes easier to manage.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some features can take time to understand when you first start using the platform, The pricing may also become expensive when you need additional features, so it is important to check the total cost.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would suggest checking the pricing, available features and integration before choosing Rippling. It is also worth checking whether the platform supports your company's needs and whether you will actually use the additional features.

What differentiates Rippling from other similar products?

Rippling reduces redundant data entry which saves time and reduces the total number of email that I get about leave balances etc. Also everything becomes much smoother once we started using Rippling.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Rippling eliminates the necessity for redundant data entry and employees can simply access their own payslip information and request time off. This reduces the number of emails received regarding leave balances, etc. In essence it eliminates manual busy work and allows us to spend time doing other things. It also provides compliance assistance since it tracks when employees sign company policies.

What do you dislike most about this product?

They continuously push through Software Updates without notifying anyone. As a result, every time I login to the system, I find that the buttons have changed or the Reports function differently and I've had to figure it out on my own. If you hire an Employee a month prior to their actual hiring date you will receive a bill for them immediately, which is ridiculous. Support takes an incredibly long amount of time if you become stuck in the Chat Bot cycle. If you finally reach a Human they respond in hours.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I really like how well the Payroll Process runs. I also appreciate how all information from Onboarding New Hires to Paying Them is stored in one location. I am very pleased because I no longer need to utilize multiple systems. Also I think Rippling is a great centralized repository for HR Records and saves me a lot of time entering manual Data.
