We have over 4 years of using MS Teams and what we have identified is good to have the structure of departments and channels ahead of time, to understand what all will look like for end users.

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Compared to other messaging tools (e.g. Skype for Business), Microsoft Teams has enhanced capability to share files, which allows us to maintain tasks tracker, vacation calendar etc. and very rarely experience issues with sound / visual quality. It also allows better group chats with ability to share files, responses etc.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ability to record calls and start transcription for meeting notes is my favorite! Also Screen sharing, with ability to give control is a great feature.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The "Contacts" dashboard could be improved to show status (based on outlook calendar) and other information such as location.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

MS Teams is a great one-stop-shop for all your virtual teleconferencing needs - instant messaging, file sharing, audio and video calls with breakout rooms, whiteboard etc. Being a Microsoft product, it has great integration with Outlook etc. and file sharing is similar to One-Drive
