What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

Wherever I worked, my past employers used Jira as their project management tool. Jira can be fit in different types of Agile environment such as Sprint basis or Kanban projects. Jira also works with other Atlassian's products such as Bitbucket and Confluence.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Jira offers very flexible and user friendly UI: drag and drop tasks, custom status columns, epic and story categories etc. You can customize a project as much as you need.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Search functionality is not good as Google search. It's not easy to find a specific jira ticket.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's not good idea to switch a project management platform frequently. You will use the same tool for long term once you purchased it. Therefore, you better to compare with other similar products before you commit the one. I personally enjoy using Atlassian's products include Jira.

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

The ability of workflow automation, flexibility, ease of use, data-driven decisions through reporting and analytics, deep support for agile methodology - a complete bundle for ALM. This all makes it distinguish itself significantly among others.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I can make customizations with great ease, automate workflows using built-in templates. As we follow agile methodology, the Sprints and Backlogs feature is highly used to plan and organize tasks. It has also been very helpful in driving data-based decisions using the reporting and analytics feature. It is truly a unified platform, keeping everyone and everything on track.

What do you dislike most about this product?

If not configured properly, then cause delays. The customizations of workflows can be a bit overwhelming and complex at times.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

A highly recommended tool that every team must have for project implementation.

The confluence integration is amazing.

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

Jira is for tasks, and confluence is for documentation. The two work together perfectly. It's the best combination for a knowledge-driven company.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I can link a jira ticket to a confluence page that has all the project requirements. This means all the information is connected and easy to find. Developers don't have to ask me for details.

What do you dislike most about this product?

By itself, jira feels incomplete. You really need confluence to make it truly useful.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you get jira, you should get confluence too. They are designed to work together.
