What differentiates Document Locator from other similar products?
My experience is from the IT Implementation angle - I found the process of setup to be VERY well-organized. To me this was different from many other products that involve extensive time working with a vendor to adjust and prepare. I was able to use the instructions verbatim and successfully set up as needed.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I am most thrilled that my HR department is so happy. Implementation to their PC was well documented, and simple. Comments from the HR teammates has been that the product is intuitive and worked well within their processes. I have also been impressed with the willingness to customize the app to internal needs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Our experience has been all positive, so I would have nothing negative in my experience to report. In fact, I took steps to demonstrate the product to our other divisions based on the positive experience
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Spend a few minutes with the end-user to see how they are using it. With the availability of customization you do NOT have to adjust yourself to fit the product - the team with DocumentLocator has been willing and able to adjust the product to OUR needs. By talking with others using the product you can learn more how it will fit in your environment.

What differentiates Document Locator from other similar products?
Based on the other paperless invoice solutions we looked at Document Locator was the most able to customize and fit all of out needs. They also came recommended to us by our IT consultants.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
When I hear my accounting staff phrase how it has made their job easier. There is no way they we would have been able to transition into working from home during covid if we hadn't become paperless with DL a few years ago. Searching for invoices in our paper files use to be everyone's least favorite job and now it takes 2 seconds to pull up an invoice. This has improved our vendor relations and also the efficiencies of our audits. I also appreciate how customizable it is & that we can use the workflow feature for a number of our tasks.
What do you dislike most about this product?
We don't have an IT department at our company so most of the tech questions/ customization requests come to me since I'm the one who founds/implemented the software for our team. Columbia Softs tech support has always been incredible helpful to me we just need to train our IT consultants to help with it more so it doesn't fall on me.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you want to use DL to replace paper invoices do it! Make sure to take time to think through your processes & how to profile & set up your folders but once you're set up you will be really happy with how it works.
