What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

Barracuda Backup is in my experience one of the most efficient backup products I have worked with, we have never had problems with damaged or corrupted copies, it is of great help to back up all the digital assets of the company and keep it safe.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In a powerful solution for automatic backups, we have made Backup based on images of machines very easy with a quick review of the status of the backup looking for integrity of the backup, we do Backup from cloud to cloud, Office365, Email, of VMWare hosts, it helps us keep our entire data infrastructure safe.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Improve the error and problem notification module. There is not enough documentation for advanced options.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

Provides multiple recovery options to help us get back up and running quickly. With Barracuda Backup we are able to recover data anywhere at anytime, without the need for a local appliance. It supports a variety of servers, clients, and networked storage platforms, as well as multiple OS platforms

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Barracuda's replication technology gives us the flexibility to securely and efficiently send data to the Barracuda Cloud. It does a great job at filtering spam and backing up email

What do you dislike most about this product?

The cloud restore sometimes is slow and searching for specific files in an extended retention policy is also slow as well as in the cloud

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

With Barracuda Backup it is easy to backup an entire cluster or just a single server. Barracuda Backup will allow you to implement an effective backup solution quickly without much of a learning curve

What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

It was a simple and quick solution to implement and easy to get staff up to speed on using the product, other solutions require a lot of advanced configuration barracuda is software we already know.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Flexible scheduling of backups, as well as settings for on-site and on-site versus off-site replication, you can Backup VMWare hosts, easy file recovery for directories and files, Restore for basic virtual machines is very fast.

What do you dislike most about this product?

should better alert system, Cloud restore can be slow

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

ideal solution for companies of all sizes price a bit high but still affordable. Setup is quick and easy for everyday use. Excellent reporting options and configurable notifications.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Integration With Storage Arrays Integrates with APIs from major storage vendors (NetApp, HP, Dell EMC) to leverage capabilities in these arrays such as data snapshots and replication.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.
