What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

is a backup platform that is easy to install and use on your network. Reporting features give you peace of mind knowing your backups are being taken care of.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

has a very well laid out interface makes all processes intuitive, Barracuda deduplication compression is really good help save space, Barracuda portal can be accessed from anywhere without configuring firewalls, makes Backups seamless complete or incremental quickly and safely.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The price seems too high, problems with downloading backed up files directly from the cloud.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

is ideal for medium to large businesses that want convenient control of their backups with the security of external storage

What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

it is the primary backup and recovery solution for our VMware environment. We wanted a simple appliance that had cloud replication capabilities to automate and streamline our backups across multiple platforms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Performs Image-Based Backup of virtual machines and individual files from file share, Blocks spam emails, Restore lost or deleted emails, Two-factor login support, Restore both in-place and on-site copies of work

What do you dislike most about this product?

Self-diagnosis of backup files not mounting, alert system could be better

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

it is particularly well-suited for small and medium-sized environments where simple, cost-effective backup and DR solutions are needed

What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

Barracuda Backup offers a variety of low-cost options for copying business-critical data offsite to protect against local events that may disable our datacenter

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Bare metal recovery lets us restore a complete Windows computer system, including data, settings, applications and operating system, onto a new computer on which no software has been installed

What do you dislike most about this product?

Barracuda offers native agents only for a limited set of operating systems and relies on protocols like CIFS/SSHFS for backup and restore of unstructured data, which does not capture the file system specific metadata such as access controls and ownership rights

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Barracuda Backup can raise your company's agility, scalability and security while lowering operational costs and risks so you can focus on developing great products and services as your infrastructure worries are gone

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Integration With Storage Arrays Integrates with APIs from major storage vendors (NetApp, HP, Dell EMC) to leverage capabilities in these arrays such as data snapshots and replication.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.
