What differentiates Zoom Workplace from other similar products?

we do our virtual happy hours on zoom workplace and it is, in fact, fun. it is better since it has the so-called immersive view, which makes it look like we are all sitting in a cafe or a boardroom. it makes a big difference in the sense of connectedness within the team.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

i personally enjoy the avatar option when i am having a bad hair day and still want to be expressive during a conference call, or the apps that you can play through the app itself, like kahoot or heads up, which are also great when it comes to team building. it does not feel like an enterprise software wants you to enjoy using it, which is unusual in enterprise software.

What do you dislike most about this product?

a few of the fun options such as the studio effects are buried somewhere in the settings. it took me a long time to discover how to give myself a digital mustache.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

in case you are interested in creating a more successful culture within a remote team, it is the tool. it helps to make work less robotic and more human.

Zoom Workplace feels less like a tool and more like a space where work just happens. You can chat, meet, and share things without jumping between apps, which makes the day smoother. It quietly helps out with things like meeting notes, so you don’t have to remember everything. The calls are usually clear, even on average internet. Overall, it’s simple, comfortable, and easy to get used to.

My favorite part is how easy everything feels in one place. I can chat, meet, and share without switching apps. It just makes my workday simpler and less stressful.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes it can use a lot of system resources and slow things down a bit. Notifications can also feel overwhelming if not managed properly. And occasionally, updates change the layout, which takes time to adjust.

If you are thinking about using Zoom Workplace, start with the basics so it feels simple. Adjust the settings to suit your needs. Try the helpful features like meeting summaries. Give it a little time, it becomes easy to use.

Better meeting controls (mute all, waiting room, host control) and Strong integration with work tools (Google Calendar, Slack, etc.)
