do a quick tutorial before you start using, but this is great for JIT (just in time) earning.

What differentiates Spekit from other similar products?

Spekit provides in-app training so you can get help while working in the app. Other products I’ve used require a user to swivel chair to another platform to find help content whereas Spekit help is on-demand triggered by elements on the page. A lot of value with Spekit when you think about onboarding a user with a new tool or trying to instill processes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ability to describe how to use an app to fit business needs. For example, there is a quote button, but when should it be used? You can have a Spek for that button that tells the user to create a quote once they have obtained the client’s name, industry, products interested, budget, etc. Having these type of instructions help users follow the correct business process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Creating Speks and assigning them to elements on the page is easy, it’s the Spek management that I found a little clunky. For example, you could have one Spek used for multiple audiences, but there is no way to reference that Spek in different trainings. You have to clone the spek and then write a note in the cloned Spek that it is not the original. If the original changes, you have to find all the clones and update them manually. There’s too much room for error and it’s a maintenance nightmare for the content manager.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you have a simple use case, one audience, then this product is simple enough and straightforward in implementation that it should provide value and be low maintenance overall.
