some enhancements and features have to be voted before they are implemented some RFC will take years to be in production.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be sure to take a look at the possibilities with omnitracker. You can have an out of the box omnitracker with different modules implemented that are available or you can start with a template with a couple of modules you need. The omnitracker can be expanded at will.
