What differentiates Mimecast Cloud Archive from other similar products?

With Mimecast Cloud Archive access data is easy. In addition, it is very secure, scalable and resilient. It also comes with automation features. All these comes at an affordable cost which is not common with many software in it's category

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The data security features are amazing. Archiving is easy and so is retrieval of archived data Accessing data is easy which comes as an advantage. It's an affordable software

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing to dislikes about Mimecast Cloud Archive.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

A data archiving software must be easy to use, secure, scalable and ensure easy access to data. This is what Mimecast Cloud Archive offers and hence why I'm recommending it.

What differentiates Mimecast Cloud Archive from other similar products?

Easy to use and doesn't mess with external systems when we share anything outside of the company.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Mimecast best feature is to search and validate any URLs and attachments. That connection is routed over the Mimecast network, and the user is not allowed to access it if the link is malicious. Even, if something does not appear correctly, it will preserve the email and remind the recipient for the attachments. It saves a lot of time and lets us quickly identify malware.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Can sometimes be extremely slow upon searching and or even trying to click the search bar.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Great back up system for information which can be accessed at anytime.

External Storage Connectivity Data archiving usually stores data on external, removable media that is optimized for long-term storage, at an offsite location.

Multiple Format Support Ability to support multiple media formats, including tape, WORM drives, optical media, etc. Also, proliferation of cloud and support cloud storage.

Data Encryption Protects your data from those who have physical access to storage media (including secure storage provider), and ensures data has only authorized access

Data Compression Allows for more data to be stored on media. Data compression can potentially slow down access times to the data

Storage Optimization 'Storage optimization, unlike std. backup & restore, is for long term data storage, organizing it to find & restore information easily

Long Term Data Retention The software should have fault tolerant abilities in order to recover from minor data corruptions. Depends largely on the media (such as tapes)

Data Deletion Control and Space Gain The ability to reclaim valuable hard drive space freed due to the data archiving process based on the software’s successful confirmation & verification

Ediscovery Audit Trail The extent to which files and file histories are tracked & ability to manage files en masse for the purposes of legal proceedings
