What differentiates Elastic Observability from other similar products?
There is 2 main uses cases for ES: tIme series and search. The search uses case has competitors like: Solr (lucidwork), Algolia, etc Elastic is making a lot of efforts to build products (and acquire other companies) that are related to time series. I dont' know any other products that are doing this to this level.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Easy of use and deploy. Continuous improvement. ES team are improving and adding new features very fast
What do you dislike most about this product?
Let say that I like more the query syntax of Solr, even if less intuitive.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
be sure of your needs : do you have time series or search uses cases ? If not also consider other products. Avoid pitfalls: use ES as real time database don't define schemas or design schemas like relational database forget that lucene segments are flat (use hierarchy is needed only) etc
