Excellent All Around Ecommerce Website Solution

What differentiates BigCommerce from other similar products?

Bigcommerce is always striving to stay current on technological advances. They update and add new features to the cart monthly. The pricing is a bit high but comparable to competitors.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It works well and It is a cost effective.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have had some issues with braintree payments integration. A strange error that I could not get fixed as of yet.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Bigcommerce and shopify both seem to be the 2 go to sites for fully integrated ecommerce shopping cart systems. Bigcommerce works very well for me. I have not tried shopify so I can not compare the two.

What differentiates BigCommerce from other similar products?

It is a very simple platform to use but can also be built upon to become complex and detailed, if you wish to dive deeper.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

How straightforward most of the setup and daily functions are.

What do you dislike most about this product?

As a customer with close to 400,000 items in our catalog, the search feature leaves a lot to be desired. I find that often times a similar item code will show in the search results before an exact match. Also, with a catalog this large, it impossible to manually assign related items that a customer may be related in. This is because you cannot enter the exact item code but instead have to browse through the categories and with so many items (many in a single, catch-all category), that becomes very cumbersome and time consuming.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Evaluate the catalog and order features to ensure they meet your needs and expectations. As long as you are comfortable with what can be done with a particular item and feel that you can easily manage your orders, the rest will fall into place. Also look into the help files and forums - there is a lot of information available which is incredibly helpful.
