What differentiates Backup Exec from other similar products?
Backup Exec is used to archive, backup, and restore data. As of now, our server environment is housed in a local datacenter. It's helpful to have a software/solution partner who can handle our needs there as well as we will be transferring servers to the cloud in the future.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Backup Exec has been used by our company. Backup Exec has always been a key component of our disaster recovery plan, whether we were using older versions of the software with HP tape drives and media or our present setup with Hp PowerVault hardware and LTO tapes. Multiple instances of Backup Exec 2015 R3 are still operational, and we are still using legacy hardware.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The only time I have an issue is when new versions undergo significant changes. The majority of people are accustomed to and rely on the core functioning; while adding new features is good, don't change it! I have no issues.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
All corporate environments are ideally suited for Veritas Backup Exec. Because of the quickness and recovery choices, it has saved me endless hours of time. They provide a variety of agents for diverse software, databases, VMware, etc. Just what you need is purchased.

What differentiates Backup Exec from other similar products?
Backup Exec offers quick and easy protection and recovery, with a number of useful integrations that make the platform easier to manage. From the central management console we are able to set up backups quickly in just a few clicks
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Via the Instant Cloud Recovery feature, Backup Exec offers Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service, which we utilize to carry out bare-metal, physical-to-virtual and virtual-to-physical data recovery
What do you dislike most about this product?
Quick search of specific files by path, owner, creation and other pre-set filters. It should apply deduplication technology to all archived data, removing all redudant data for further ease of management and to minimize bandwidth strain
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Backup Exec is the ideal solution for a business that has to backup many devices. It will store an image of your primary hard drive to the cloud and has a big number of security options
