What differentiates Arcserve Backup from other similar products?

The system is easy to setup and it just works. Able to virtual boot servers once a week for validation of images and for compliance requirements.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

File Explorer access to mounted images for fast and easy file recovery.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Needing to reboot server to initially install; but i do understand the need for the restart.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Plan longer term when setting up / purchasing a storage device for long term use is maintaining a large number of images

Automated Backup Testing and Verification Goes beyond monitoring whether backup jobs completed by verifying the integrity of data restoration.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

File Explorer Granular Restore Individual files can be located and restored from backup media without the need for full system mounting and restore.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.
