What differentiates ActiveCampaign from other similar products?
ActiveCampaign sets its capabilities apart with its advanced automation feature. ActiveCampaign comes with a visual automation builder, through which marketers can develop complex, multi-step workflows with ease. With it, marketers can develop complex customer journeys, segmented according to behavior, preference, and activity, and channel-spanning. With its integration with CRM information, website tracking, and email activity, its level of personalization can outdo many of its counterparts' capabilities.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite ActiveCampaign feature is its powerful tag and segmentation system. ActiveCampaign allows for incredibly granular audience segmentation via a range of factors, such as behavior, demographics, and level of activity. Having such granularity at your disposal empowers marketers to build laser-sharp, hyper-personalised messages that speak to a specific group of your audience. With ease, having actions a user takes, or specific information, automatically tag a contact, it is easy to have contact information kept current and relevant, and enable even more personalized and effective marketing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
One aspect I don't particularly enjoy about ActiveCampaign is its pricing scheme. Despite ActiveCampaign having a range of tools, its pricing can escalate in no time when your subscriber base grows, or when you need access to even more advanced tools. For small startups and companies, when starting and developing your marketing, such a pricing scheme can become a challenge. The price between one level and the next can be significant, and in most scenarios, one tends to have to pay for tools one doesn't necessarily need in a quest to gain access to one or two key tools.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For those considering ActiveCampaign, I urge a strong recommendation for a 14-day free trial and becoming intimately acquainted with the platform and its feature sets and then testing its fitness for your specific marketing needs, with a view towards its automation builder and segmentation tools, both of which ActiveCampaign executes particularly well. Try, in your free trial, to replicate a section of your current processes to see how ActiveCampaign can make your current processes easier and less cumbersome.

ActiveCampaign is not only a great email marketing solution but also makes marketing automation easy. Comes with lot's of features and is multipurpose.

I like that it has amazing email marketing features and it's very capable. The software handles marketing automation really well.

Well, no serious malfunctioning to report.
