Teamwork Rolls Out New Features in Teamwork Spaces

In true SaaS fashion, Teamwork rolled out some new features in what it calls its “Teamwork Spaces,” which launched earlier in 2019. Spaces are where content can be stored, accessed, edited, read, and shared. Teamwork Spaces is a separate product, not an add-on feature, but it does integrate with the vendor’s popular Teamwork Projects solution.

The new features include:

  • Starred Spaces
  • Required Reading Changes
  • Required Reading Assignment
  • Search Highlights
  • Move Page Functionality
  • Editor Toolbar
  • Image Gallery
  • Image Manipulation
  • Page Mentions

Particularly interesting are the required reading features. Spaces allows you to assign reading to members of your team, and they will also be notified by email highlighting any changes that have been made to a page marked as “Required Reading.” Along with @mentions and new search functionality, these updates should help users stay up-to-date with content and share it easily.

Our Take

From firsthand experience, Teamwork has great customer service, and no doubt the addition of spaces as well as the enhanced features were a result of customer feedback. Teamwork is moving in the right direction with these new features. Knowledge sharing is a key component of project management, and having a “single source of truth” is a big concern for many teams these days.
