What differentiates Zoom Workplace from other similar products?

microsoft teams looked like a maze that we tried for month. zoom workplace is the best because it’s powerful without being confusing. the whiteboard tool is in fact usable on a call, by contrast with the shoddy alternatives. it is so end-user (not just it department) centric, that it feels like someone designed this for people who actually do work.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

the video filters and lighting adjustments are a godsend for those early morning calls before i’ve had my coffee. I also like the “huddles” feature for those fast, informal sessions of brainstorming that don’t require a formal calendar invite.” the audio (with one exception related to my own internet connection on rainy days) is consistently clear. it feels very professional.

What do you dislike most about this product?

it powers a lot of battery on my macbook. if i’m on calls for three hours and not plugged in, then my laptop is basically dead by lunch.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if you want something clean and fast that just works then go with this. it’s the best investment i’ve ever made for our internal communication.

What differentiates Zoom Workplace from other similar products?

i used to just jump back and forth from slack for chat and zoom solely for calls, but now that they’ve merged everything into zoom workplace, this is it. why is it the best? because I don’t have to keep going back and forth between apps. the whiteboard is seamlessly integrated within live meetings. alternatives like microsoft teams feel too bulky and complex for my taste. The new features do not slow down zoom

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This device literally charges the ai companion. if i’m five minutes late to a meeting, i can ask it to catch me up and it gives me a perfect summary of what i missed without interrupting anybody. the team chat is also considerably improved compared to before. i love that i can start a huddle one from directly from a chatter thread if the text conversation is getting very long. the quality of the video remains the most reliable in the game.

What do you dislike most about this product?

the notification settings are a nightmare to get right. That also means I sometimes get pinged on my phone for meetings that I already have going on my desktop, which is a little weird bug they haven’t fixed yet.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if you want a tool that can do more than video calls, this is the one. it’s a full office suite now. I recommend it for any team that collaborates across time zones.

What differentiates Zoom Workplace from other similar products?

Zoom workplace has advanced aspects post-meet productivity as compared to google meet. the reason it is a better service is because of automatic meeting summaries. i am like not even taking notes anymore because the ai does it for me and gives action items. it saves me a minimum of three hours of extra admin work in a week. it’s the best because it can understand context.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The whole "clips" part—I really like that. rather than schedule a 15 minute meeting for a quick update, i just use it to record a short screen capture video and send it off to the team. they can view it at their convenience and comment. it’s also nice that the calendar is built into the main view now, so i can always see my day even without having a browser open.

What do you dislike most about this product?

the UI is becoming a bit cluttered. and since they added so many tabs (mail, chat and phone) it can require an extra click or two to find the settings i want.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

it is a massive time saver. I recommend it to anyone who feels like they’re drowning in meetings and needs a better way to stay organized.
