if you need a full enterprise DLP solution covering network, storage and endpoint channels this is product you need. But be ready to have your own team to manage all product aspects, give them time to master solution and use all (sometimes hidden) power of it.....and at the end as for all technical solutions be sure that product does what you really need (which may not be same things as other company) so you will not be disapointed at the end.

What differentiates Symantec Enterprise Cloud from other similar products?

I’d say no different product will beat this. What i actually like regarding this is simple to deploy, user-friendly console, good reporting etc, i’m terribly familiar with Installation/Deploy, making policies, agent deployment. Provides a lot of details regarding dB health, agent status, and grouping for DLP policies. It’s one of our primary security solutions. It’s been wide adapted within the enterprise. Smart this is that users don’t even know it’ there unless something is flagged.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Simplistic GUI and measurability to deploy multiple modules across your environment and centralized management console with smart integration capabilities. Multiple tiers of design methods give the flexibleness to deploy multiple detection components within the heterogeneous environment and simple to configure fail over options. Best part is that the policy configuration framework provided in DLP with the ideas like policy teams which give isolation capabilities for policy application. Reusable sender/recipient patterns makes life easy for directors once there’s frequent modification in exceptions.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I’d say reporting part is a little tricky, would like to induce IT Analytics put in to get the reports, It can be higher if reports can be accessed from the console directly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Extremely recommended for data loss prevention and protection needs overall. Ranked highly in business and quite capable to deliver your requirements. Do check out/consult current customers in your business who are exploiting this product to know their feedback.
