Powerful, but not lightweight

What differentiates ServiceNow App Engine from other similar products?
The ServiceNow data model and platform services give me reusable components (like notifications, approvals, role management ) out of the box. So I dont just get UI screens, I get a platform with workflow engines, security models, reporting and governance already baked in.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The mix of Low-code ease with real extendability and enterprise polish is the part I like most.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It's capable but not smooth, intuitive and lightweight.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It's worth it when you need robust workflows and enterprise integration and less compelling if you just want something extremely simple and fast to launch.

What differentiates ServiceNow App Engine from other similar products?
The biggest difference is how easily i can build apps that tie into real enterprise workflows like ITSM, HR, and security without stitching together APIs. I can start fast with low code, then drop into custom logic when things get complex, all while inheriting ServiceNow’s security, governance, and scalability.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It naturally fits into existing ServiceNow workflow.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It feels restrictive when working outside the servicenow ecosystem.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you’re thinking about ServiceNow App Engine, go in with a clear picture of your environment and goals. It really shines when your team already uses ServiceNow and you need enterprise grade workflows, automation, and governance without building everything from scratch.

What differentiates ServiceNow App Engine from other similar products?
The App Engine studio is unique because it allows us to build custom apps on the same platform where our data already exists. It is not only application development it allows to create solutions that seamlessly integrate with all other Servicenow modules
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
What I like the most about the Servicenow App Engine studio is makes the applications development very easy. The drag and drop interface and prebuilt templates allows us to focus on solving the problem instead of getting bogged down by coding.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The biggest downside of Servicenow is the pricing. It is not budget friendly option specially for smaller businesses. While no code tool is great, this is limiting for advanced development to control over the backend.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you are already a user of Servicenow then App Engine is worth it because building the custom applications become very easy.
