What differentiates ServiceNow App Engine from other similar products?
I think the low code interface is much more intuitive than others. It makes it easy for non-developers to automate complex processes.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect is app engine studio. It makes it easy for non-developers to build a working app using the templates.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I think the interface is a little bit clumsy sometimes which can be a bit frustrating when you're on a tight deadline.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would say to have a proper plan and give training to each individual before having them use it.

Powerful, but not lightweight

What differentiates ServiceNow App Engine from other similar products?
The ServiceNow data model and platform services give me reusable components (like notifications, approvals, role management ) out of the box. So I dont just get UI screens, I get a platform with workflow engines, security models, reporting and governance already baked in.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The mix of Low-code ease with real extendability and enterprise polish is the part I like most.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It's capable but not smooth, intuitive and lightweight.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It's worth it when you need robust workflows and enterprise integration and less compelling if you just want something extremely simple and fast to launch.

What differentiates ServiceNow App Engine from other similar products?
The biggest difference is how easily i can build apps that tie into real enterprise workflows like ITSM, HR, and security without stitching together APIs. I can start fast with low code, then drop into custom logic when things get complex, all while inheriting ServiceNow’s security, governance, and scalability.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It naturally fits into existing ServiceNow workflow.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It feels restrictive when working outside the servicenow ecosystem.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you’re thinking about ServiceNow App Engine, go in with a clear picture of your environment and goals. It really shines when your team already uses ServiceNow and you need enterprise grade workflows, automation, and governance without building everything from scratch.
