What differentiates Reltio Connected Data Platform from other similar products?
- Reltio is designed to build profiles with data from different systems, be it enterprise systems, 3rd party data sources or via regular MDM operations that are stitched together to bring in a comprehensive profile of the customer, that can be trusted and accessed in real-time - Entity resolution (match rules) which powers progressive stitching overtime to build a unified profile of customer over time - Graph technology - Ability to capture different types of hierarchies & relationships at scale & present them in different views in the platform with the help of its graph technologies - API enabled - Canonical data model
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Great matching engine, flexible in defining custom business rules for de-dup. Efficient way of building golden version of record with clear lineage from various contributing sources. Ability for multiple types of hierarchies & relationships. Ability to capture various customer interactions & aggregated under a consolidated profile for better connected 360. Flexible to define & refine canonical data model during any point of implementation. API enabled data exposure & consumption
What do you dislike most about this product?
Workflow capabilities are not flexible enough to build Business process orchestration. More effort to integrate with enterprise applications around Reltio, especially Salesforce.com, where FIFO is not guaranteed. Heavy reliance on AWS/ Azure/ GCP could prove to be detrimental to the speed to activate features, especially with integrated eco-systems.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
- Organization should be flexible & adopt some Change Management instead of expecting the tool to solve for everything. - Keep the level of customization as minimal as possible to reap the benefit of the tool if that meets your business need - Keep the essence of MDM with the tool, to bring connected customer data for 360 view & activation at the time for the right persona - Organization should do extensive research in identifying key use cases for the PoC for the tool evaluation - Regional data privacy law should always be one of the top criteria for the tool evaluation as Reltio is a SaaS
