How Okta Identity Cloud stands out is its consolidation of all identity and access management to an array of cloud-based and on-prem applications. As an engineering director, I appreciate the ease of authenticating and signing users, seamless integration of SSO, and improved user experience for access with a wide array of mfa configurations with my team. Furthermore, It does a seamless integration with the enterprise systems currently implemented and makes it easier to grant or deny access from my side of thehouse..

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Love the Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication capabilities. It allows our employees a simpler login experience yet adheres to high security levels. I'm also a big fan of the central user management which greatly simplify the onboarding/offboarding process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

While the platform has many features, setting up complex access policies and integrations might take time. It could also require new administrators to undergo some training so they are able to comprehend all the capabilities and identity features of the product.

The consideration is cost. As organizations scale and require advanced features like adaptive security, lifecycle automation, or multi-region support, licensing costs can increase significantly. And one area that often comes up in configuration complexity.
