What differentiates Odoo from other similar products?

Odoo’s modular approach is one of its biggest advantages. For example, a small company can start with CRM, Sales, and Invoicing, and later add Inventory, Accounting, or HR as its business grows. The ability to customize workflows based on specific business needs makes it flexible and practical. Compared to many other ERP solutions, Odoo is also relatively affordable, which makes it a good choice for small and mid-sized businesses looking for a system that can grow with them.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I really like about Odoo is how easy it makes managing different business activities in one place. From my experience, having sales, inventory, and invoicing connected saves a lot of time and makes the overall process smoother. I also appreciate that Odoo can be customized to suit different business needs. For example, a company can start with a few basic apps and add more as it grows, without having to move to a completely different system. This flexibility and affordability make Odoo a practical choice for many businesses.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One thing I find a bit challenging in Odoo is that some features are not as straightforward as they seem at first. For example, when a user wants to add an extra field to a sales order or customize an invoice report, it may require help from an administrator or technical team. Even simple changes can take time if the user is not familiar with the settings. I feel the system is quite flexible, but some configurations could be made more user-friendly, especially for people who use Odoo for their daily work and do not have technical knowledge.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I’d recommend understanding your business requirements before choosing Odoo apps. Start with essential modules like Sales and Inventory, test the complete business process before going live, and add more apps as your business grows. From an implementation perspective, proper planning, user training, and testing custom workflows are important to avoid issues later and ensure the system works smoothly for daily operations.
