Namely started out great, but has lost it's edge

What differentiates Namely from other similar products?

Namely markets itself as an affordable all-in-one HR system for small businesses. Sadly, over time, the gaps in integrations became apparent and the all-in-one angle is really a patchwork of separate systems with a quickly aging UI.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like the payroll module. It's very easy to use and as someone new to payroll, I found it reliable and dependable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It took over a year to build a simple EDI feed with a preferred vendor(Ameriflex). We were told 3 months initially. The EDI build process is a nightmare with no accountability, no follow-up, and no results. Definitely not the experience I had when I first signed up with Namely in 2016.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're looking for an all-in-one product, Namely can appear to be the answer as a small business. I would investigate further as there are better options on the market today.

What differentiates Namely from other similar products?

All features related to payroll, H functions, time sheet is collated in a single place. A very easy to integrate and easy to use software.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The entire quick and easy payroll process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Filing of taxes is a tad difficult and some features has to be manually calculated.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

A very cost-effective, easy to integrate software with all functions related to HR, tax, payroll etc are in a single place.

What differentiates Namely from other similar products?

Its simplicity. I've used a bunch of different software and I always had to go through hoops. Namely gave me everything I needed with the least amount of clicks. It reminds me a lot of Google in the beginning. Easy to use - no explanation needed. For someone in sales who needs to see things quickly, its perfect. I remember when we first started using Namely after switching from another vendor and the whole sales team was so happy at how little we had to click around to get to everything we needed.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Again... it's simplicity. As a salesperson, you want what you want when you want it. Namely gives me that. I've never spent so little time in a site but got so much out of it. To me, that's the best part. If you were tracking usage of a site, they might have thought we logged in and then got out quick for some negative reason. Quite the opposite! It was the speed we were able to get in, see exactly what we needed and get out that made us all love it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Honestly, I never disliked something about it. It's too simple to dislike anything. You get ONLY what you need. No more and no less.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need a lot of super functionality and bells and whistles it might not be for you. If you want simplicity and your team not wasting a lot of time in a site looking for things, this is the site for you.
