Here's the main difference: Zoom is purely a video conferencing tool whereas MS Teams is an all-in-one tool that combines video conferencing with team chat and other productivity features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

MS Teams offers longer group meetings of about 1 hour even in their free plan.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are just two points about MS Teams that I dislike.. 1) Unnecessary storage consumption 2) Increased security risk.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Microsoft Teams app is all about better communication and business benefits. For businesses, this cloud-based platform with integrated Microsoft products is a game-changer.

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

It's convenient to have access to user status information and out-of-office notifications. A given team's channels are simple to use and traverse, and the comments mechanism is effective. Teams, however, works fine on Windows, and I've also tried it on Linux.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This is fully equipped with every aspect required for conducting meetings online. The installation of third-party apps is quite simple, and many of them have already been connected. Although there is a learning curve, the user interface is quite intuitive. The audio and video quality appeared to be excellent. In a secured section, posting files is an option.

What do you dislike most about this product?

You won't be informed if you attempt to create a new team with a name that already exists, and you can end up with two or more teams with the same name. This wastes your time and money in addition to creating uncertainty. But there is a workaround.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I adore the virtual background options for the video calling panels, and the prompt alerts. The busy on a call, in a meeting, away, or logged out setting is incredibly straightforward to use and is a crucial factor in determining when we may and cannot interrupt another team member.

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Microsoft Teams offers multiple platform integrations, such as those with its competition Zoom using which one can instantly schedule Zoom meetings. Moreover, it also provides quick learning opportunities giving ready access to LinkedIn courses and Microsoft courses for free through Viva Learning. These two features are what make Microsoft Teams unique and set it apart from its competitors.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Microsoft Teams has a host of praise-worthy features. The thing which I like the most about Microsoft Teams is that it is an all-in-one package. One can chat with team members, share files through chat through auto-upload and share Microsoft SharePoint files feature. One can also attend meetings and share the screen as required. Apart from these, Teams can come together through various channels, and files can be shared with the team members with the ability to provide read or write access to members outside the teams if required. Recently, the Viva Learning initiative was launched which has helped the team members upskill with ease.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Microsoft Teams present a few limitations to the users at times. If an external client wishes to join a Microsoft Teams meeting through a mobile phone but does not have the MS Teams app installed, it is not possible to attend the meeting in the current scenario. It would be helpful if one can join using the web directly without the App installation, which has already been implemented by Zoom.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need a solution for communication and collaboration within/between teams, Microsoft Teams is the best solution out there in the corporate world. It has everything starting from a simple chat for quick communication to a Kanban board to monitor the team's tasks for the sprint. It is essentially an all-in-one package for team collaboration package very well suited for the hybrid model of work.
