Great collaborative communication tool

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

The way Teams works with other Microsoft programs is fantastic. Outlook makes it simple to set up a meeting time and then share that time with Teams. The ability to communicate with one another in real time is useful.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy file sharing, talking, whiteboarding, mid-call participant addition, hand-raised whiteboarding, screen-sharing, and remote access to friends' or coworkers' computers upon acceptance of a request to do so. Use similar to that of a mobile phone while at work.

What do you dislike most about this product?

On rare occasions, Teams acts a little hysterical when you try to broadcast your screen or offer a file. As Teams matures and receives updates, I have seen that this occurs less frequently.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

With Microsoft Teams, my coworkers and I can hold virtual meetings and discussions. Even though we don't all live in the same country, we can nevertheless carry on with business as usual. My workplace has also used it as a conversation platform.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Efficient Service
  • Helps Innovate

Security is a main issue, I received two Junk calls from a local number when I picked it up. it says we are calling from Barclays Bank etc. Which I can make out is a fraud call I am not sure, how I can get a direct call on my teams via some random mobile number.

Teams need to improve on the security features and integrate with other third-party products such as Jira

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Integrated Ecosystem: Microsoft Teams is deeply integrated with other Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. This seamless integration promotes a unified workflow and enables efficient document sharing and co-editing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Chat and Messaging: Teams' chat functionality is robust and versatile, allowing one-on-one and group conversations. The threaded conversation view helps keep discussions organized, and rich formatting options make it suitable for both casual and professional communication. Video and Audio Calls: Teams offers high-quality video and audio calling with features like screen sharing, meeting recording, and the ability to schedule meetings directly from the platform. The "Together Mode" provides a unique way to conduct virtual meetings with a sense of presence.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Learning Curve: For users new to Microsoft Teams, there can be a learning curve, especially when navigating the extensive set of features. However, once familiarized, it becomes highly effective. Resource Intensive: Teams can be resource-intensive, especially on older computers. Running it alongside other Microsoft 365 apps may require capable hardware to maintain smooth performance.
