One of the main is the integration with Microsoft 365 also can integrate other applications and third-party apps such as TRello, Jira, and many others, also can have customized app that can be developed using Microsoft TEams App Studio . Can be installed in different platforms such as Windows macOS, IOs, Android. Teams provide a persistent chat history, allowing users to access past conversations and shared files easily. Product has matured and is now reliable

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Its integration with other MS products. It has tied the products together into one seamless experience.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Instant messaging is used all the time - is very simple. I appreciate Microsoft's continuous improvements to stay competitive.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Do not use MS Teams for your VOIP phone system! Their product is not a complete phone solution. We moved from RingCentral to MS because more users were using Teams and it made sense to integrate our phone system. However, it is missing basic functionality. Our new President asked for a report on how many people are choosing specific options in our auto-receptionist. I asked Microsoft, several consultants and third-party vendors and the answer was that MS does not track this information. MS also told me there is no plans to ever track this information! MS isn't a phone company. A year ago, we moved to Zoom phone and are very happy with it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you use MS 365 it is a no-brainer. If you don't, then you should either consider MS 365 (especially if you are non-profit due to the high discounts and grants) or use Zoom. Since it's a tool that you use to meet with people outside your organization, use Teams or Zoom because that is what people know the most.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Inspires Innovation
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity

Cons

  • Less Efficient Service
  • Commodity Features
  • Less Caring
