Microsoft Teams has everything in one place
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?
With Teams, I can quickly and easily do all of my daily tasks. Messages and phone conversations with my professional connections are simple and quick. Participants have their calendars updated with the invitation, and all of our team meetings and regular scrum calls are coordinated in Teams. Additionally, fifteen minutes before to the commencement of the meeting, they will get reminders through Microsoft Outlook with alerts. Whiteboard (to note down everyone's assignments) and Mentimeter (to create surveys and questionnaires) are just two of the many helpful tools that complement MS Teams and make our meetings more engaging and fruitful.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Teams' greatest strength is as an excellent platform for teamwork. There are a lot of functions that I utilize frequently. Messages, links to files, creating groups of relevant people, scheduling meetings, setting up alerts for leave tracking, screen sharing during scrum calls, audio and video calls, recording sessions with transcripts, and so on are all easily accessible. Sharepoint also stores the recordings for future reference. Along with a user interface that is both familiar and intuitive, it features strong integration capabilities with other Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and more.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It takes a long time for the conversations to be updated if the system is restarted and Teams is configured to start up automatically, something I've seen when Microsoft Teams was upgraded from its Classic edition. The prior Classic edition did not have this problem.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The corporate world, with its emphasis on teamwork and communication with both internal and external clients, is an ideal setting for this kind of work. Any conference that requires screen sharing, video conferencing, or even just voice calls will benefit greatly from this application. You may also use it to make calls to other countries. Due to the lack of necessity for close cooperation amongst team members, it is less appropriate for use in settings with a small number of workers.
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Not reliable, which makes work difficult
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?
Other products I have used seem to actually work. Teams, on the other had, stands apart in being incredibly fussy and unreliable.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I appreciate that my status on Teams ties into my Outlook calendar, so when I have a meeting scheduled, Teams automatically shows me as unavailable for that time period.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It's unreliable and inconsistent. Video quality is always poor, despite the fact that I do have high speed internet. Chat and video, which is CRUCIAL for our remote workers, is very unreliable. Calls don't ring through, texts messages do not show up, I get errors when trying to send attachments in the chat window, etc. VERY frustrating and makes work more difficult. Never had any of these issues when the pandemic first started, and we were using Skype.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Don't. Unless it's a free option as part of a larger package, and you don't need reliable communication between remote workers.
Pros
- Includes Product Enhancements
- Appreciates Incumbent Status
- Security Protects
Cons
- Less Reliable
- Inhibits Innovation
- Slower Product Innovation
