nothing better for tracking bugs

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

i'm a game developer on a team of 22. we are working on a big new game, and we have thousands of bugs. jira is the absolute best tool for bug tracking.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

every bug gets a ticket. we can set its priority, assign it to a developer, and track its status. we can add screenshots and videos to the ticket. without jira, it would be impossible to manage the thousands of issues we find.

What do you dislike most about this product?

jira can be very slow when you have a lot of tickets. our project, with over 20,000 tickets, can sometimes take a long time to load a page or run a search.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if your main job is tracking and squashing bugs, jira is the industry standard for a reason.

Kanban Board is Great for Continuous Work

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

I'm on a marketing team of 10 people. We don't work in sprints. We use a kanban board in jira to manage our tasks. Work just flows from one column to the next.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's perfect for us because our work is continuous. We can see bottlenecks easily. If the "in review" column starts to get too full, we know we need to focus on reviewing, not starting new things. It helped us work so much faster.

What do you dislike most about this product?

it took a while to set up the board just right for our team. the default kanban board is very simple, and you have to go into the settings to add new columns and rules, which was a bit confusing.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your team's work is more of a constant flow than a fixed sprint, the kanban board is a much better way to work.
