What differentiates IBM InfoSphere Information Server from other similar products?

This is a robust and flexible ETL tool that uses data from different sources that can include relational databases, external data sources, business applications, among others. The ability to extract and transform data is versatile and greatly facilitates business analysis. It is a scalable, versatile and high performance tool.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is very efficient and reliable to process large amounts of data. Provides a lot of flexibility to connect to relational and non-relational databases. The use of metadata for analysis and maintenance generates optimal results. It is easy to view and edit the content of the repository. It allows the implementation of data validation rules, without any complications.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its cost is high. It is necessary to have a broad handling and mastery of the algorithms for understanding, knowledge and use to the full.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This tool allows access to a wide variety of data sources, which significantly improve their analysis, development and transformation. I recommend its implementation.
