What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
Google Analytics is different because it gives really deep insights for free. It's good at tracking all kinds of user actions and gives you a clear picture of your website’s performance. Plus, it works well with other Google tools, which is handy.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite thing about Google Analytics is how it shows so much about who visits your site and what they do there. The data is really detailed, and you can see how changes on your site affect visitor behavior, which is super useful for making improvements.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The thing that's tough about Google Analytics is it can be really complex and hard to understand, especially if you're new to it. Sometimes, finding the exact data you need is challenging, and the interface can be overwhelming with so much information.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're thinking about Google Analytics, start by setting clear goals for what you want to track. Take time to learn the basics, as it can be complex. Also, use its customization options to get the most relevant data for your needs.

What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
I haven't used other products because the privacy issues do not concern me or my clients directly, so while I can't compare GA to other similar products, I find it hard to believe that any other product can offer both the same features and integration. Any platform that is worth its salt develops and integration with GA, which the smaller platforms can't compete with. GA (specifically GA4) has given us a high level view of everything going on with our marketing funnels, customer journeys, and traffic acquisitions. It helps us to decide which direction to go to most efficiently market for our customers.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Customer Journeys and Conversions. The conversion (as opposed to Goals in Universl Analtyics), is much easier to track and utilize. Teaming this with UTM codes, we are able to accurately track where our traffic is coming from, and who is performing the actions that we are looking to count as conversions. The Explore tab of GA4 allows us to "see" the numbers in a funnel format which is amazing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The fact that we can't automatically email reports from the Report section. Unless I haven't figured it out, we have a custom Report set up in the the Library but we have to manually change the date and send, export the data, and send it to our clients each month. Automating this would be a much, much appreciated feature.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend taking a look at your current marketing stack and platforms that you use in your business to see if any of the other analytics platforms integrate with it, turn-key. My guess is that they don't. Google Analtyics has the advantage over all of the other systems for that reason alone. I would start by just doing simple tasks at first, then diving into the more advanced techniques and strategies so as to not overwhelm yourself.
