Simple enough for blogs but deep enough for pros
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
I considered things like matomo but stuck with google analytics since the community support is huge. if i have an issue, there’s a forum post about it. its the best for go get go of data the amount it can manage without hanging. it feels reliable, and that’s all you really want when you’re following business metrics.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The search console integration is the most that i use. having direct visibility on what keywords brought that traffic from right inside the analytics dashboard is a huge time saver for me. i also appreciate the insights feature that draws my attention to trends i may not have noticed, such as a sudden uptick in traffic from country x or device type y.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The interface is a little sluggish when you’re trying to compare long stretches of dates. it can feel like it’s having a hard time pulling all that knowledge at once.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Highly recommended for any blogger. Learn the fundamentals and you’ll pick up the more advanced features when your site grows in time.
Pros
- Inspires Innovation
- Fair
- Acts with Integrity

Excellent for testing and optimization

What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
This will give you the cold hard facts compared to guessing what works. It is worth this because its seamlessly integrates with google optimize and run a/b tests on your site. you can easily tell which version of a page gets more conversions and make adjustments based on actual data, rather than just your own gut feelings. it’s the best thing you can do to make your site better – and better – year by year.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I really like the 'funnel exploration' report because it allows me to see exactly where people are falling off in my sign-up process. i can look at if a specific step is too difficult or confusing, then test new versions of that page to see if it helps things. the “engagement” metrics are also very valuable to see if my redesigns are actually keeping people on the site longer. it’s quite data-driven approach of creating web site.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I will try this out but still, google is going to phase out google optimize.. really sad since the integration was so great. i hope they eventually build a comparable testing tool directly into ga4 to replace it.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're tired of guessing and ready to start growing, you have GOT to be using this for ongoing testing and optimization. you need to stay one step ahead or you will be left behind in the world of online competition.
Pros
- Reliable
- Trustworthy
- Security Protects

perfect for mobile app tracking.

What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
and it’s still better than managing separate web/app tools, especially ‘cause ga4 combines them all into 1 property. it can be the best because it provides you a 'single' view of your users, however they engage with your brand. then you will LOVE it as most companies have a website and mobile presence so this simplifies the data reporting and analysis by orders of magnitude.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
i quite like the event focused model for apps because it lets me track particular button clicks or level completions very easily. Also the inclusion of firebase is a huge win for developers as it eases the technical setup considerably. i also love the “app install” tracking to see exactly which ads get new users to download the app. it's a really good solution for the mobile-first world.
What do you dislike most about this product?
for many developers, the transition from old ‘google analytics for apps‘ to new ga4 was harsh. it involved a fair amount of recoding and rethinking around how data was gathered and reported.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
if you have both a web and app presence then you absolutely should use unified ga4 property. it's the latest and greatest way to deal with your data.
Pros
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
- Caring
