It differs from other software because it guarantees the user protection against both internal and external threats, its firewalls are high-performance with fast interfaces and simple implementations, it carries out large-scale traffic inspections so that you can have visibility of what that enters and leaves the corporate network, does not alter the user experience since its inspections have high performance and speed, it also includes routes for future updates, leading to evolve with the threat landscape.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like the one that can be integrated with other Fortinet software, because in this way its protection becomes more powerful, the one that can be able to face new threats, this ensures that the business network is always kept secure, not only a software to provide protection but also avoids complexity and cost reduction since it eliminates point products and consolidates security capabilities, in addition its installation, configuration and administration is easy, intuitive, highly graphical.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The constant updates in protection software are really nice but nevertheless to this Fortinet software, having updates often causes some errors to be generated, also processing a lot of data generates a slowness.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This Fortinet software offers a variety of products for business protection, being able to adapt to the needs of any company, so choosing the right one ensures a fully protected network free of cyber threats.

What differentiates Fortinet Fortigate NGFW from other similar products?

This Fortinet Firewall platform differs from others because it has a very simple implementation and easy administration, it is responsible for inspecting the traffic on a large scale so that the tragic entering or leaving is only legitimate, it carries out large-scale inspections speed so that user experience is not affected, offers consolidated IPS without degrading performance to provide virtual patches so known and zero day attacks can be prevented, plus it performs fast transfer of large data sets called Elephant Flows.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I like best about this software is that it integrates easily with other Fortinet software such as FortiGuard and FortiSandbox powered by (AI), giving the advantage of protecting against known and zero day threats and improving operational efficiency through Integration with Fabric Management Center, which provides driven networks since it is thus possible to have high visibility of applications, threats and networks, also facilitates the management of security and its administration because it is located in a centralized console.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For beginner users, the configuration can be somewhat complex so it is ideal that technical knowledge be handled so that the process is more enjoyable, in addition to having reports and better visualizing the logs, the Fortianalyzer must be acquired, which is a separate device.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is important to analyze the characteristics beforehand and test the product so that you can detect if it really is what you need at the business level since its costs may be less accessible for small businesses, however because it is a solid and complete software when it comes to protection investment is worth it.

What differentiates Fortinet Fortigate NGFW from other similar products?

Fortinet Firewall has some features, which are not exist in other vendors. For example, SSL VPN in CheckPoint(May be in new versions of operation systems they have added, but I don't have information about).

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Possibility to configure security features like you need it. Very easy to understand GUI (But I dont like GUI design, for example colors of pillars)

What do you dislike most about this product?

As I have mentioned it several times in this review it's a GUI Design

Depend of size of your organization you can choose different security devices and it's very kind. You also can find many courses which improve your knowledge which will hep you to administrate this product.
