What differentiates CAST Highlight from other similar products?
Highlight helps organizations manage application portfolio risk, cost, and quality in a number of key areas, offering a wide range of features and capabilities not normally available in a single product.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The speed by which it is possible to create a multi-faceted view of application quality, risk, and cost, and cloud readiness at the portfolio level.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The user interface is not consistent throughout the product, and some of the features are not as intuitive as they could be.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Consider Highlight as a way to rapidly launch an application portfolio assessment and get started with a continuous improvement program for your application portfolio. It serves well as part of an ecosystem of other tools to help automate and accelerate application portfolio management activities - key for any application transformation or migration program. Do not look to Highlight to do everything - the product integrates well with other products through a rich RESTful API, and can work alongside other tools which provide additional IT discovery, analysis, reporting, and transformation planning capabilities.

What differentiates CAST Highlight from other similar products?
Cast Highlight provided fantastic code analytic insights rapidly which helps speed up and support decision making processes . Its Cloud readiness index for PaaS migration is a key differentiator and now with Containerization patterns being added its value add continues to grow.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
easy to integrate into DevOps tool chain. Cloud readiness assessment has helped with our cloud strategy and rationalization of our portfolio. The speed at which you get an incredible amount of insight as part of one code scan.
What do you dislike most about this product?
there is very little to dislike, the team at Highlight are constantly evolving the product.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The highlight team do have cater for trial access, give it a go on some of your apps to gauge the fit and insight it will bring. While the product is very easy to use , i would recommend attending Highlights training and certification to get the most out of the solution.
