What differentiates Azure Cosmos DB from other similar products?

Cosmos DB is a fully managed, globally scaled DB solution provided by Azure. The features which differentiates this from other managed DB solutions is the various data models, low latency, high availability and data replication Cosmos DB offers, which is amongst the best in the market.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part of Cosmos DB is that it is fully-managed by Azure and can support almost all types of data models to store in the DB. It also provides high availability, data replication and low latency which is perhaps the best in the segment.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Apart from all the great features Cosmos DB provides, it comes with a cost which is on the higher side. So the cost and the initial complexities of Cosmos DB is something which enterprises and companies should take into account before making a switch.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Overall Azure Cosmos DB is a great product which can add value to comapnies and customers who are looking for a reliable, highly scalable, fast and feature rich managed DB solution.

Azure Cosmos DB is a multi-model, worldwide distributed database service that provides turnkey global distribution, instantaneous automatic scaling, and ensured low-latency and high availability. It supports a variety of data models, such as document, key-value, graph, and column-family models, and it enables simple and seamless access to data using well-known APIs like SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Gremlin, and Table. which provides everything under one umbrella and it's versatility makes it best in the competiition

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

the low latency at a global scale is truly amazing feature so that we can enjoy the benifits of distributed database without any hassale

What do you dislike most about this product?

the cost is higher than any database offerings that are there since it is high latency so the cost is too much.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

make it more affordable so that anyone can pick deploy and start working on it. and also some beginir friendly documentation would be nice.

What differentiates Azure Cosmos DB from other similar products?

It is backed by microsoft and it has many webhooks you can integrate with through Power Automate apps in azure ecosystem, making it really easy to integrate with third party systems.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It was really easy for us to setup for our needs guiding ourselves with the documentation available.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing in particular, it has done the job greatly so far.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Evaluate what is the core of your data and how you could benefit from NoSQL databases, in our case we used cosmos db for logging purposes in our web applications, so it was really easy to setup. And the SDK that microsoft provides is a pleasure to work with.
