What is your favorite aspect of this product?

good to use with multiple service integration

What do you dislike most about this product?

1. difficult to write custom run commands 2. patch manager doesn't notify for critical vuls

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

1. write your own customized runbooks 2. never click on copy to new for running the same run command for other instances, it gives error as instances don't become healthy

What differentiates AWS Systems Manager from other similar products?

Through AWS System manager, we have been able to copy processes as part of the normal update process and it is very easy to copy the files and doesn't even require SSH access to the instances.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Coupled with the RunCommand to send common commands to multiple servers I have reduced hours of work to minutes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It can be hard to debug issues at times.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I highly recommend it. You do not have to go into each instance and deploy the configuration file. With one click you set up all instances.

I have used AWS Systems Manager only.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Scope of automation in the day to day tasks like remote script execution and patch management.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I cannot say anything which I disliked about this product.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you have EC2 machine deployed in your AWS setup, you must explore AWS Systems manager. You have to explore its potential in Automated system patching and executing remote commands/scripts on many servers at a time. But do not forget to setup VPC endpoints for Systems managers.
