What differentiates Altair RapidMiner from other similar products?

This tool has a huge ML database with lots of algorythms, provides numerous useful features and tools to perform tasks and all this without the need to know scripting.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This tool is the best for 2 main use cases: text mining and analytics. If it comes to these, this tool is unbeatable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The UI and user interaction really needs a makover and modernization.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This tool is good for specific use cases, so have a clear understanding as to what you need a tool for before purchashing it.

What differentiates Altair RapidMiner from other similar products?

RapidMiner creates an easy to use visual environment for building analytics processes. Graphical design environment makes it simple and fast to design better models.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

RapidMiner is very powerful due to its learning operators and operator framework, which allows to form nearly arbitrary processes, also it is stable and easy to extend for java programmers.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It sometimes doesn’t support customisation of base models in Machine Learning but this is not a major issue.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend rapidminer. You can access, load and analyze any type of data-both traditional structured data and unstructured data like text, images and media. I highly recommend this software.

What differentiates Altair RapidMiner from other similar products?

It is very easy to use versus programming languages like python. It is scenario-&process-based tools versus Weka or SPSS which are task-based and you can not reuse actions or transfer to others.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Graphical User Interface (GUI), good tutorials and examples

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have many problems but it should be considered that other tools have the same problems like: 1- It eats RAM extraordinary, especially in parallel-enabled operators. But, as I open it, it takes more than 5 GB of RAM which is very awful. 2- Sometimes it can not release unnecessary RAM when the process is finished and I have to reopen it and lose some results. 3- It doesn't let us save the logs easily like example sets. 4- Its examples and tutorials are very simple and good, but sometimes we need a complicated process in which there are no examples and Q&A in the forums.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is good for learning and research but I have many problems with deployment and communicating with others. It really needs a translation plugin to python.
