What differentiates Acquia Drupal Cloud from other similar products?

The first composable experience platform. Bring together and deploy digital experiences, wherever your customers spend time. Acquia provides extended support for MySQL 5.6 until the Cloud Next version of Cloud Platform officially delivers multi-region failover functionality in 2022. In the meantime, Cloud Platform customers can use Drupal 9 with this functionality. However, certain functions or modules in later versions of Drupal 9 may require the database functionality introduced in MySQL 5.7. In this situation, such Drupal features or modules will not be available until the upgrade to multi-region failover in Cloud Next is complete.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

For marketers, Acquia supports the need to deliver digital experiences for multiple sites, brands or regions quickly, while strengthening brand and site governance.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Error messages are not displayed to visitors by setting Error Messages to display to None on the Settings, Development, Logging and Errors page. It makes them as restrictive as possible, while still allowing your website to function. Poorly written or incompatible plugins can be a security liability.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Acquia has created the only end-to-end web platform for Drupal with 100% cloud-based development tools. This will allow users to bring applications to market faster, improve code quality and eliminate security risks, all with tools optimized specifically for Drupal. Acquia Code Studio provides users with the tools to plan, build, review, test, deploy and measure. It provides a place to write code as a service. No configuration is required on local machines. Acquia Cloud Actions performs common DevOps tasks during deployments automatically from the Cloud Platform user interface with Acquia best practices built in.

What differentiates Acquia Drupal Cloud from other similar products?

Acquia will provide access to the Cloud Platform API and administration console for authorized users, which will allow the Customer to view and manage Drupal applications on Cloud Platform. Customer will be responsible for granting and revoking user access to the administration console and API. It will monitor the availability of the Platform for Customer's production environments with standard monitoring checks performed at regular intervals. Such monitoring may exclude the resulting degradation of the Client's application.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Acquia reserves the right to remove a Customer application from such monitoring in the event of recurring issues where the Customer rejects Acquia Support's recommendation for a solution. Downtime incurred while Customer applications are out of monitoring will be excluded from the Service Level Policy availability calculation.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Security and new version notifications are a nuisance, as they occur too frequently, but still good to have. Some modules are dropped or do not work as intended.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Includes support for the services listed above and the underlying platform infrastructure. Support for Customer application code and third-party dependencies implemented by the Customer is not included. Will provide technical support as described in the User Support Guide for Customer's Drupal applications on the Platform during the Subscription Term as outlined in the Order.

It makes it easy to manage multiple websites from a single code base. Acquia provides a robust hosting platform for Drupal websites.
