What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?

Since it was one of the earliest APM product in the market, quality, maturity and no of features were reasonably high as compare to the other alternatives when I used the product esp. showing the graph of entire system like backend application severs, database, caching, search systems and where exactly is the bottleneck was awesome

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

transaction tracing and in that drill down option

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not much only thing was UX could have been bit better in some features

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

there are now many players in APM which provides other capabilities like logging, monitoring, SIEM etc so if you don't want have multiple vendors its worth checking these platforms

What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?

Any application environment can benefit greatly from using Appdynamics as a 360-degree tool. I enjoy the server, application, and even the application's network traffic monitoring. My favorite feature of the application is its ability to dive down and identify the underlying reason for a problem.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It provides the option to go into detail in the event of an error. You can go to the problematic line of code. In the event of poor performance, you are also able to understand what was occurring at the time. The alert area, which I would also include, enables you to set off an alarm as necessary.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The Lite edition only records data for the previous two hours, which is a drawback in my opinion.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I was able to continue keeping tabs on an intricate ecosystem's performance. I now have a comprehensive understanding of the entire architecture, including the flow of communication between the many services that make up the solution, thanks to the product. I am able to continue keeping an eye on the system's functioning thanks to the alert notice.

We track issues and performance across development environments, allowing us to detect changes in performance across builds and versions. Alerts notify us as soon as problems arise, allowing us to begin examining them before clients complain. It enables near real-time monitoring and logging, as well as assisting in swiftly identifying the underlying cause of production issues and resolving them to have your production application up and running as soon as feasible.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Their UI and documentation are fantastic and help APM integration. Other agents are simple to install, and we can see which servers are utilizing which servers. AppDynamics makes it simple to validate underperforming web pages and API requests, so my team knows where to focus next in order to enhance our user experience. Permalinks to queries make it simple to share data with others and return to it later.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I honestly have no dislikes. Their assistance is second to none, their client focus is inspiring, and their progress is lightning quick. AppDynamics is an excellent tool for application monitoring and performance; it will integrate many services, such as AWS, and it will integrate all services (in-depth monitoring of EC2 and ElastiCache as well).

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
