Great software for file sharing and group chat

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

Fantastic tool for internal communication. The convenience and dependability are both exceptional. This is a great app for communicating with a large group. To coordinate, of course! It's convenient that everyone on the team can step in and provide a response if needed. Excellent variety of available environments.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

When it comes to communicating about significant projects, our team uses Slack daily. We may have one for our sales staff as a whole, and another for our customer care reps. You may create a separate "channel" for each division, allowing you to communicate with only the people who need to see the information while keeping out others for whom the subject matter is irrelevant.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Display conversation in chronological order. Allow for more granular control over push notifications so that you may get just the most urgent alerts.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Slack is the primary means of communication at my firm since it allows for instantaneous, one-on-one interaction amongst coworkers without the need for email. It's a fantastic group chat app that also facilitates the transfer of files and other crucial information. It appears to be lot simpler to use than Teams. Several "channels" have been established with various divisions, making it simple to communicate with only the relevant parties.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity
  • Trustworthy

Connecting with teams in a couple of clicks

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

Channels proved critical especially for knowledge sharing mainly in our finance, sales and strategy teams. Channels have played a massive role in helping to bring those teams together

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Our primary Slack Workspace has more than 200 weekly active users, who collectively send more than 5000 messages on a daily basis resulting in a constant flow of information throughout the company

What do you dislike most about this product?

Doesn't offer enough storage space for files that are shared so we have to regularly move those files to separate repositories to create enough space for archiving conversations on Slack

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is time to start having those teams come together to collaborate across borders. This is a secure space where employees can find answers to questions on their own

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

"Easy to use, but a bit pricey."

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

It greatly reduces the number of emails and allows integration across all form factors (phone, tablet, laptop) and across all OSs (Android, Windows, iOS). It has integration with many of the other productivity tools (Trello, G Drive, Dropbox, RSS, etc.) in order to manage and interact across your product suite, but I think Asana has this as well so that's likely the same.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

You can use Slack on both desktop and mobile devices (on Android and iOS). This application is intended mainly for enterprises to facilitate and organize conversations between teams and departments.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Updates in slack are alomst none or very few and come after so long

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The application sometimes crashes when i open it because of too many messages it takes some time to load. If that load time can be decreased it would be helpful

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Enables Productivity
