How to read the Emotional Footprint
The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. It aggregates emotional response ratings for various dimensions of the vendor-client relationship and product effectiveness, creating a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and product.
While purchasing decisions shouldn't be based on emotion, it's valuable to know what kind of emotional response the vendor you're considering elicits from their users.

Useful for managing supplier transactions
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates SAP Business Network from other similar products?
SAP Business Network is different because it works like a shared platform for both buyers and suppliers, not just an internal company tool. Instead of emails and manual follow-ups, purchase orders, invoices, and shipment updates move directly through the same network. Suppliers can respond, confirm, and submit documents in one place, which reduces confusion and delays. It works well when a company deals with many suppliers and high transaction volumes. The biggest advantage is better coordination and visibility across the supply chain, especially for businesses already using SAP.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite part of SAP Business Network is that it keeps buyers and suppliers on the same page. Instead of chasing vendors over emails or calls, everything like purchase orders, confirmations, shipping updates, and invoices is visible in one place. It reduces misunderstandings because both sides are looking at the same information. I also like that it brings more discipline to supplier communication, especially when dealing with many vendors at once. Once suppliers are onboarded properly, day to day coordination becomes much smoother.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike most about SAP Business Network is that it can feel complicated and heavy at first, especially for new users and suppliers. Onboarding suppliers takes time, and some smaller vendors struggle to understand the process or resist using another system. The interface is not very intuitive, so people often need guidance or training to use it properly. Sometimes simple tasks feel slower because of the number of steps involved. It works well once everyone is used to it, but the initial learning and setup can be frustrating.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend this product mainly to companies that work with many suppliers and high transaction volumes, where coordination and visibility are important. Before using it, plan enough time for supplier onboarding and make sure vendors are clearly guided, otherwise adoption can be slow. Internal teams should also get basic training so daily tasks do not feel confusing. It works best when processes are standardized and followed properly. If a company already uses SAP, this product fits naturally, but smaller teams should be ready for the learning effort.

Guy Who Cleans Up the Supply Chain
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates SAP Business Network from other similar products?
SAP handles massive volume with a level of visibility that puts standard ERP modules to shame. I transitioned my high-velocity retail accounts to this ecosystem to catch shipment discrepancies before they hit my warehouse
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I spend less time chasing paper and more time negotiating bulk discount rates for our peak season inventory. The discovery feature also helped me source alternative textile manufacturers during a major supply chain hiccup last year
What do you dislike most about this product?
The onboarding process for smaller vendors remains a persistent headache in my daily operations. Many of my local specialty suppliers find the fee structure for premium accounts prohibitive
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I suggest this tool for managers overseeing a diverse and geographically dispersed supplier base
Pros
- Helps Innovate

I find that many of the best local haulage firms are hesitant to sign up due to the perceived complexity of the SAP environment

Be prepared to act as a mentor for your suppliers to get them fully onboarded and active in the network
