What differentiates Puppet Enterprise from other similar products?

The major features I appreciate in puppet are the abilities to manage multiple linux flavors with the same code base. And the fact that it runs on a regular schedule minimizing config drift.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Managing multiple operating systems with the same code base.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Very steep learning curve. Took me a while to wrap my brain around how to write Puppet code and the best ways to leverage it for my environment.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Provide some basic roles and profiles templates for new users to leverage out of the box
