What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

ALM Octane was a good replacement for ALM HP which was the old version of the tool which was more of manual Testing tool, meanwhile ALM Octane enables you automate the testing process and also allows you to directly write the test cases on the platform unlike ALM Hp which you had to write Test cases on an excel sheet offline the go through a complex upload process.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

ALM Octane supports Gherkin Language which allows you to write test cases and Scenarios using user stories and epics, which can be automated during the test process. Also it integrates requirements and defect management into Software Life-cycle which leverages traceability to ensure Quality of the Software

What do you dislike most about this product?

It has a learning curve, anyone new to Software testing tools will require a training session in order to know how to navigate and use the application. Its not a straight forward user interface that anyone can know how to use at a glance.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you want to implement Agile process , ALM Octane is the best tool for continuous integration , automated Testing and release management.

What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

The key feature is the usability. It is fast to learn and easy to use. It's very intuitive to work with. Most of the important functions are available via a few clicks, compared to other tools where I have to open a sub-menu and then a sub-menu and another sub-menu, and then press a button.

Reusability

What do you dislike most about this product?

The elements in filtering need to be improved, They don't support all IDEs also. this has to be improved
