What differentiates Mailchimp from other similar products?

From all the products that I've used, Mailchimp has been the most intuitive and user-friendly. All the others required more training and getting used to. Mailchimp, on the other hand, was like iOS devices - take it out of the box and use it.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The simplicity of use and yet powerful features. Also, the availability of the free plan was a huge bonus for us back when we first implemented Mailchimp and our marketing budget was very low.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Probably the fact that many of Mailchimp's emails go into spam or "promotions" folder in people's e-mails. On one hand, it's understandable, but on the other - many emails were lost simply due to the HTML-ness of the email.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Clearly understand the reasons why you need an email marketing automation tool. If it's sending more "personal" emails and reminders from salespeople - it's better to use something like Reply.io that has no HTML formatting and usually goes into the Inbox. If you're planning to use Mailchimp for blog subscriptions or sending other promotional/administrative emails to your customers - then Mailchimp is a great companion.
