If you already use Google Suite and are looking for something that is quick and convenient and most of your staff is well connected, Google Meet is a great option

What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

The primary differentiator is the price - can't beat $0 price point. Considering that fact, not surprising that the quality of the product is not at the same level as Zoom for example.

A/V experience is subpar

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ensure everyone uses high quality equipment if the plan is to leverage this platform exclusively. The current product iteration does not provide a consistently high quality audio, video or presentation experience. Considering the price point, difficult to complain about it, just understand that the overall experience will be significantly different than with Zoom or Teams.
