What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

It's great that I can use Hangouts on my phone thanks to the app, and I like how intuitive it is. My organization utilizes Gmail for email and calendars, so Hangouts connection is already there and ready to go. One of the main draws of moving to Google Hangouts was the low cost, which was appreciated by our accounting team. It's all done in-browser (or in-app), so there's no need for the customer to download anything, which can both simplify their experience and cause delays during busy periods.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This is a great improvement to Google's messaging program for computers. In my opinion, it is quite convenient to be able to view both incoming emails and IMs in Google Hangouts from within Gmail's main interface. The convenience of sending short, unimportant messages that don't warrant a full email draft is another perk. The title and thumbnail image of the video would also appear, which I thought was a really cool feature, whenever you connected a video from YouTube. This a great addition.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Despite being merged with another service, Google hasn't updated Hangouts in a while and has decided to kill it off. Its customers are slow to act. Web navigation is adequate... The bits about the past tend to bore me. Not all timestamps are displayed. Until you "wake up" the app, your phone may not receive messages (rarely)... While Gmail's inbox and messages are useful, the search function is terrible. Oftentimes, the history lacks the signals I need.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

There isn't a webcam app that can compare to Google Meet in my opinion. My inability to attend previous Zoom meetings was due to the need to obtain the computer administrator's permission and password before downloading and installing the application. Zoom's setup process takes at least 20 minutes. Google Meet is my go-to since it's hassle-free and requires zero set-up on my end. It opens on a new tab, so I can continue working in other tabs or apps at the same time.

What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

One of the key differentiators of Google Meet is its ease of use and seamless integration with other Google products. For example, if you use Google Calendar to schedule a meeting, you can easily add a Google Meet link to the invitation. This means that all the participants can simply click on the link to join the meeting without having to install any additional software or plugins.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love its ability to record meetings. This is particularly useful when someone is unable to attend a meeting but needs to catch up on what was discussed. The recording can also be shared with those who attended the meeting as a way to review what was discussed.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There have been occasional issues with audio quality, although these are rare.

I highly recommend. It is a reliable and user-friendly platform that can help you stay connected with your team and clients no matter where you are in the world.
