My favorite aspect of Confluence is its collaborative editing feature, allowing multiple users to work on documents in real-time.

The interface can feel cluttered with numerous options, which may overwhelm users initially, making it challenging to navigate and find specific content quickly.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Amongst the standout quality of Confluence is the synchronization that exists between this software and Jira, Since Jira is the first project management software of choice at my department. Connecting Confluence with Jira, enables my department to map project requirements and objectives domiciled on Confluence to our day to day project work on Jira. Allowing for better visualizations for departmental projects.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One of my major goals as a product designer when adopting software tools is how easy it is for my teammates to be able to use a software quickly, otherwise known as learning curve. From department-wide experience, we've had cases where new teammates were able to get to work using Confluence at a basic level, almost from their first attempt of using this tool. Confluence's adaptation of visual data representations across its interface is a lovable aspect of my experience with this software tool. This visual data representation approach makes it more intuitive for users to find their way across Confluence.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The biggest criticism I have towards Confluence is that it is not a full fledged project management tool for software development projects. It lacks critical tools for tracking bugs, or managing the full development cycle for software projects. Therefore, within the context of my department at work, we utilize Confluence strictly for knowledge management of departmental-wide software projects.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I will advice would-be users to pair Confluence with Jira, since this has been the adopted option at my company.
