What differentiates Cisco Jabber from other similar products?

We have been using Cisco Jabber as a way of online communication way before pandemic. It has been our longest online communication tool so far. The best feature I like about Cisco is that you can easily access it on almost any device. You can take advantage of the screen-sharing feature, making audio and video calls and especially chatting is very easy and reliable.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I work in a design company and we used to have online meetings now and then with clients. We could easily make high quality video as well audio calls alongside projects presentations and training sessions. The best thing is that it can easily integrate with Cisco products as well as Microsoft.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Well, what I personally don't like in Cisco Jabber is that some of the features might be outdated and need an update. For example, you can’t take a screenshot. You will see updates from them very often and they surely are long!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Cisco Jabber is one of the reliable communication platforms I have come across. The security is also pretty good. They need to work on some updates but it is suitable for big firms and it will accommodate you with clients and offices globally and easily.

What differentiates Cisco Jabber from other similar products?

With cisco jabber you can do audio and video calling with contact information. Your status is automatically updated when you are in cisco or sharing application.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Cisco jabber is an easy to use tool. You can make group of your selected members and chat with them regularly, share small files and customize your theme and status like online, offline, lunch etc. you can also keep chat history. Response is quick. The user-interface is good and it doesn’t take a lot of screen space. You can open it in background as well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

You cannot send messages to a person who is showing offline status. Chats are never updated. Sometimes calling doesn’t work. Audio quality is not good. If you want to call on other vendor to jabber, expensive middle devices are required. It is not a free platform nor does it allow free trials.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is not highly recommended as you are so many different ways to be connected with you team and it requires a very stable internet connection and the video and audio are sometimes disconnected if your internet connection is poor.

What differentiates Cisco Jabber from other similar products?

One of the many stable products launched by Cisco, Cisco Jabber is the one. It is fully compatible with other Cisco products. It is an excellent platform for making audio/video calls and staying in touch either with colleagues, employees, or clients. The chats in Cisco Jabber are end-to-end encrypted which makes them super secure. It has a very simple and easy-to-use interface and hence newbies can easily adapt to it. One of the best options is the call-forwarding option from Jabber to one’s personal number.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It works very well for calling and instant messaging. Group chats can also be created. The interface is very user-friendly and it does not take much space. It has the in-built ability to be integrated for pulling information from the Active directory.

What do you dislike most about this product?

More diversified themes should be provided. Instead of writing XML scripts, it would have been better if it were based on templates. It also lacks integration with other apps such as Webex and this is a major drawback. It has a higher cost as well.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One should ensure that he is having strong internet connectivity. The platform is good for internal communication purposes. Zoom or Microsoft Teams can be used for external communication purposes.
